Foo, Dog that is

After sketching & considering, I have decided that the avocotter design isn't dynamic enough for this project. To make the elements recognizable I would have to stick within a pretty tight frame work of what an otter & an avocado look like. Enter the Foo Dog.

A Foo Dog is a Chinese guardian that is a chimera of a dog & a lion, which leaves room for creative interpretation. Some ideas:

• A mane of barrel knotted mustard macrame chord

• Fluffy chest created on latch hook rug backing

• Wide open mouth, visible tongue

• Upside down heart nose

• Sculpted characteristic curl

• Pom-pom necklace

• Prominent forehead/ eyebrows

• Visible paw? on Ball?

• Facing upper, 3/4 lower view?

• Elongated/ dragon- like neck?
